Delivery and Installation

We have delivered and installed over 1500 trash containers with 100% success rate. Delivery and installation for bear proof trash containers is available to Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Cosby and Pigeon Forge TN. Cost of delivery and installation is $50.00. Installation includes concrete or other materials needed to correctly install trash container so bear is unable to move or manipulate the container which may cause damage to container or personal property. Typical installation is done in dirt, we drill down with auger 12" to 14" set each leg in hole, level container and back fill hole with concrete. Typically 100 to 120 lbs of concrete is required to properly install containers. Removal of old trash containers is available, there is additional charge for removal and disposal of old containers. Please call prior to order to discuss what type installation maybe required at your cabin.

Our Locks

Our locks are designed to only be opened by humans. When purchasing a trash container keep in mind bears have no trouble opening car doors. If the lock is similar to a car door chances are bears will open your container.  Our locks are easily replaced, no service call, cutting or welding required, just slide old one off and new one on, its that easy.

Why front opening doors?

If trash spills inside your trash container, clean up is easy,  just open the doors and clean up the mess. No reaching inside threw the top hoping you can reach the bottom or snagging and ripping bag trying to throw it over the top of the container.. The Gatlinburg sanitation department recommends front opening trash containers over top opening for the following reasons, they are safer, people have reported having hands slammed in falling doors, head injuries, and strain on backs trying to lift trash out of containers. With our front opening containers doors stay opened until they are ready to be locked shut. Also keep in mind a bears natural instinct is to go into the top of container not the front. Which is why our success rate is second to none.

Expanded Metal

We use 1/2' #13 expanded metal. Why? Raccoons, opossums, and birds  can all reach threw and rip your trash bags if 3/4" or larger expanded metal is used on your trash container.
